What we collect

When you sign in with Google or Apple, we store your email address and display name to manage your account. We also store the covers, plots, and projects you create within Dear Pantser.

AI and your content

Dear Pantser does not use your content to train any AI model. When you use an AI-powered feature (polish, plot, cover generation, translation), your content is sent to third-party AI providers solely to process your request.

We use commercial API plans from these providers, which exclude training on user data. However, each provider operates under its own privacy policy and terms. We recommend reviewing their terms if this is a concern for you. See the list of providers below.

AI-generated content

Dear Pantser claims no ownership over AI-generated outputs (covers, plots, blurbs, translations) and imposes no restrictions on their commercial use. However, the legal status of AI-generated content varies by jurisdiction and is evolving. It is your responsibility to verify compliance with applicable laws. See our Terms of Service for details.

Data storage & sub-processors

Your data is stored securely with encrypted connections (TLS). We do not sell or share your data with third parties beyond what is necessary to provide the service.

AI providers

• OpenRouter (AI routing — routes to Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude)

Payments

• Stripe (payment processing — we never store card details)

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication only. No tracking cookies, no analytics scripts, no third-party ad trackers.

Your rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data.
